The big news is the new Contract Extension system built into the portal.
In all of the previous version of the portal, the contracts would always go up, never down.
Now go to the portals "CONFIG" page and enter the "AVERAGE SALARY". Right now in the NHL the average salary is $2,500,000 so that is the default value in the portal.
So if the player has a large contract lets say around $5,000,000 and also had a bad year in ratings then the portal will lower he pay demands towards the average league salary value that you enter into the configuration page. If you want the salary demands to be higher, just change the average salary number in the config screen and vice versa if you want it lower.
The other part to the extension is a complete redesign and experience you now have with the players agent. You can customize all of the odds of the players chances of resigning on he config page. The players agent will tell you what the player is expecting and will highlight anything in red that is negative.
The no trade claus also now is customizable in the config page.
Next update will take all of this new player agent experience into free agency.
